Dried ginger root (Zingiber officinale Roscoe)
Ginger is a very aromatic spice with a pungent aroma with hints of lemon and lemongrass, it is used as a flavoring and stimulant for digestion and in the production of thirst-quenching drinks.
It is indicated in the production of Belgian-style Ales and in the classic English Ginger Beer.
Use: chop the root and add it in the last 15 minutes of boiling, in hopped extract beers prepare a separate infusion in a little water and then mix in the must at the start of fermentation.
Dosages: 20 / 25gr. for 23 lt at a max of 150 gr. for “Ginger Beer” style beers
