Breaking down your beer flavor! (Part 1)

Describing your beer doesn't mean you have to be a craft beer connoisseur but you need to learn a few buzzwords that will you to describe your beer.

Here are some general terms to help you understand how the beer flavors are typically described:


Hops or Hoppiness: Used to describe the impact of hops in your beer. These beers could have dominant hop aroma, intense bitterness or both. The taste of hoppy beers depend on when the hops are added during the brewing process and what kind of hops have been used. The earlier the hops are added, the more bitter the beer. Hops themselves have a versatile flavor and some times complicated aromas that can enhance your beer flavours. These flavours range from fruity and floral to grassy and earthy!
